Outdoor education is a fundamental part of our company values. We believe we are responsible for getting youth involved with the natural environment and especially with our rivers. Our rafting expeditions are the perfect opportunity to teach and learn about geography, history, and the state of the environment we live in today. We use the Thompson River Valley as our classroom, we get students involved with their eco-system, in a fun and safe environment.
Our school rafting trips are an unforgettable experience; we provide a life-changing experience for teachers and their students.

For many it’s their first time camping under the stars and joking around the camp fire.

We offer a full day trip or a two day rafting trip with camping. We provide all meals, camping equipment and transport. Fantasy Island is our private and isolated camp, located in the middle of the river surrounded by beautiful Canadian wilderness.
Rafting requires teamwork to achieve objectives; students work together while floating down the river and to set up the camp. It is a hands-on experience where everyone participates, helps and discovers their wild side.

Every adventure is unique with Hyak.

We use paddle rafts or power rafts to accommodate groups from 10 years of age. All our School trips are private; we customize the trip to meet the school’s needs.
It works wonderfully at the beginning of the school year (September) to integrate everyone for the upcoming year or at the end of the year as a closing activity to celebrate with an activity to remember.
